Forex Training Worldwide Experiment With Automated Trading
Forex Training Worldwide Experiment With Automated Trading
Traders program a Forex trading robot and await profit results
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 18, 2012 --
Forex trading course tutors at Forex Training Worldwide are also live traders. During the last 4 years the company was solely based on manual trading but with the introduction of trading robots into the financial markets it seemed that it was a good idea to see how good they really are. However, rather than purchasing a trading robot from a website (as they probably don’t work), Forex Training Worldwide’s traders decided to program a robot of their own.
As the coding language is quite complex and various parameters and scenario combinations had to be taken into account, the actual ‘programming’ part of the experiment took around two weeks. This included various testing on a number of different timeframes and currency pairs during live trading. After this was complete, the traders decided to optimise the robot to ensure its executions and profitability reach the maximum possible level. However, optimisation and further testing required a lot of processing power so a whole new set of computers and servers had to be bought. If it was optimised and tested on one computer it would have taken 264 days.
On the 9th January 2012 the optimisation was finally complete and the traders were eager to find out if their experiment actually worked. Managing Director, Dean Withey said – “The experiment was a great success. We are now on day 7 of live trading and the robot has made 18% on a basic automated strategy we have programmed it to do. We are a long way off yet of utilising this robot in our favour but stage 1 is certainly heading on the right course”.
Unfortunately, the robot is not for sale and it is far off being complete but this impressive experiment could indeed make trading a lot less labour intensive. Whilst the traders at Forex Trading Worldwide are not looking to replace their manual trading with automation, it certainly looks like an area that deserves further exploration.
