Forget HD, 4K Arrives In Cleveland

The Scarlet X has been three years in the making, and on November 3rd, 2010 when RED announced the Scarlet release date, it was only a matter of time before Vision Media and Marketing jumped at the chance to add it to their camera gear.

Since Red Digital Cinema first camera, the Red One was released in 2007, their reputation as skyrocketed to being one of the best makers of of high end digital cinema cameras in the world. As the digital age is ushered in and fewer movies are being shot on film, RED's cameras have been in great demand. They have been used to film the Academy Award-Winning The Social Network as well as the recent release, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

"We've have quite a few calls regarding Scarlet, but we're still waiting on a few accessories from RED before we can use it in production" says Creative Director, Donald Gregory.
