Former “Biggest Loser” launches clothing line; inspires nation's families

(Sept 7, 2010) – Author and speaker Ken Canion launched a national campaign to inspire and motivate 1,000,000 of the nation’s families through a new clothing line aptly named Affirmation Apparel. The concept behind the clothing line is to “empower, inspire and motivate” families through a series of inspirational messages printed on the clothing.

The campaign officially kicked off in August 2010.

Affirmation Apparel is the brain child of motivational speaker Ken Canion, a former contestant on NBC’s The Biggest Loser and author of several motivational books, including Help! My Mind is Fat; God, I Ain’t Trying to Hear All That; and Leadership in the Real World.

The Affirmation Apparel clothing line includes T-shirts with statements that read: “My Dream is Worth the Effort,” “I Believe in Me,” “I Will Live with Passion,” “I Am Destined for Greatness” and other bold messages designed to encourage and affirm the wearer.

“Our products are designed to teach, motivate and inspire the wearer, especially families, because many families are in some type of financial or emotional crisis,” says Canion. “Our national campaign emphasizes that families can overcome any and all obstacles, and aspire to great heights by working together as a cohesive unit.”

During the upcoming school season, Canion will visit several schools throughout the country to speak with families and offer FREE copies of his new book I Believe in Me, a poignant story about a young African American youth who learns the value of change and the difference that it can make in his life and in the lives of others.
