Former Black Book Advertising Director Vincent Nelson joins Noize Magazine

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 19, 2010 -- Vincent Nelson, formally of the Black Book joins Noize Magazine, America's 16-year -old premier national dance, event and music publication serving gay men and their allies as National Advertising and Social Media Sales Director.

Mr. Nelson has joined Noize magazine as national director of advertising and social media. Nelson will be responsible for overseeing all digital, print and social media sales operations for Noize Magazine and Noize.com. Nelson had previously directed operations for IV Represents, an photo agency. He also served as ad sales director for The Black Book, where he oversaw the AR100 Award Show and the AR100 Awards Show Design Competition.

"Noize Magazine is a well targeted print and online publication that has successfully delivered to its LGBT audience for 16 years. In this day and age, when many confidently predict that print will to the way of the dinosaur, this publication has increased its readership and ad base every year since its inception. The new position is a reunion with Editor-in-Chief Steve Weinstein, with whom Nelson worked at the New York Blade, when Weinstein was editor there. "Nelson represents a giant step in noiZe's long-range plans to increase its national advertising and broaden its base from promoters, events and clubs to companies that want to reach our affluent demographic," Weinstein said about rejoining Nelson at noiZe. "NoiZe readers are young professionals who like to have fun and are willing to spend money doing it. These are the ideal consumers for companies ranging from clothing to spirits, entertainment to automobiles. With Vince based in New York, we will be much better able to reach the national ad agencies that handle HIV pharma, spirits, tobacco, underwear and activewear, sex aids and any other products of particular interest to our target audience."

Nelson adds that he considers himself fortunate to have worked with Weinstein at the Blade. "When I first started, it was a 20-page community newspaper that grew to up to 80-plus pages. It was the collaborative effort of both Eeditorial integrity and ad sales that allowed us to speak to, inform and represents the various demographics of New York's varied LGBT community. I feel I will be able to accomplish the same with NoiZe."
