Former Eagle Jon Runyan To Speak At "Take Back Congress" Tea Party on Independence Mall, Philadelphia

(Free-Press-Release.com) April 13, 2010 -- Philadelphia ( April 12, 2010) - - The Independence Hall Tea Party PAC is showcasing the region's top "limited government" Congressional candidates in a Tri-State "Take Back Congress" Tea Party to be held on Independence Mall, 5th and Market Streets, Saturday, April 17, 2-4 PM.

"The Tea Party Movement is pivoting from protest rallies to political action and our PAC is leading the way," said PAC President, Don Adams.

"If we, as Tea Partiers, really want our voices to be heard in Washington, then we must become part of the process that determines who represents us.

"In the tri-state region, we have targeted seven Congressional districts and two US Senatorial seats. We know these races can be won in November," Adams said. "We have strong candidates ready to defeat those supporting the "big government" policies of President Obama. We will fire Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid," Adams said.

"The location of our Tea Party could not be more appropriate. Independence Mall includes the buildings where the 2nd Continental Congress and the 1st Congress of the United States met. "As Tea Partiers, we look to our Founding Fathers and Mothers for guidance. They wisely established a Republic answerable to the people and we seek to keep that Republic alive for future generations."

Confirmed speakers include: Former Eagles Star and NJ Congressional Candidate, Jon Runyan; Talk Show Host, Dom Giordano; Businessman, Joey Vento; National Tea Party Leaders, Michael Johns and Eric Odem ; Redeem The Vote President, Pastor Bill Devlin; PA Congressional Candidates Mike Fitzpatrick, Gloria Carlineo, James Jones, and Josh Quinter.

Invited speakers include: PA US Senate Candidate Pat Toomey ; PA Congressmen Joe Pitts and Charlie Dent; PA Congressional Candidates Lou Barletta, Dave Argall, and Pat Meehan; NJ Congressional Candidate Dale Glading; DE US Senate Candidate, Christine O'Donnell; DE Congressional Candidates Michele Rollins and Glen Urquhart .

"We have also invited our first endorsed candidate, Democrat US Senate Candidate Joe Vodvarka. While we know he is a long shot to defeat Arlen Specter and Joe Sestak, we hope to encourage conservative Democrats to become more active in their party," Adams said.

The Independence Hall Tea Party PAC was formed in February, 2010 to assist federal candidates in the tri-state region (PA, NJ, DE) who share the organization's commitment to limited government and lower taxes.
