Former Miss World Candidate joins Eastwood Models

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 13, 2011 -- Quezon City, Philippines- Crowned winner of 1992 Binibining Pilipinas-World Ms. Marina Benipayo joins Eastwood Modeling Agency (EM) as its Lead Modeling Instructor.

Benipayo, who has been a familiar face in Philippine fashion for over two decades now, has started conducting modeling and personality enhancement workshops to EM models this August.

At least 20 EM models participated in the workshops. The module includes learning how to walk on the ramp, check posture, strike poses and make turns.

Creating memorable entrance and exit skills and assuring good runway photos are also taught in the workshop which can help aspiring ramp models and beauty contestants.

Benipayo, the Philippine representative in the 1988 Model of the World contest and one of the most sought-after modeling instructors in the industry, says she chose to join EM because she could see the passion and motivation the agency has for the models.

“I could see that the agency is really after the growth of each and every model. Mas personalized ang paghandle nila sa mga models. They even let the parents [of the models] see the workshops.” Benipayo said.

18 year-old ramp modeling rookie Zandra Sta Maria attributes her initial success in the Philippine Fashion Week audition held last August 27 to 29 2011 to the coaching she received from Benipayo. “Sobrang saya and sobrang fulfilled ako. I learned so many things from her [Benipayo]. She taught us how to pinpoint our weaknesses and how to do something about those weaknesses.”

Though a newbie, Zandra was able to get the nod of the representatives of 4 jeans and 1 underwear brands in the audition.
