In a seemingly intimidating email sent by Lisa Bloom on August 10th, it appeared the attorney was attempting to silence Ms. Jones from talking to the press and media about the Salahis and the White House State Dinner debacle. The email accuses Ms. Jones of "trying to sell her story". During the interview, Ms. Jones maintained her composure as an accusatory Lisa Bloom made further allegations claiming that Ms. Jones refused to grant an interview with Diane Dimond, author of an upcoming book about the Salahis, until she was compensated for the interview. Ms. Jones repeatedly denied these allegations, saying she only wants compensation for her services as publicist to the couple who appear on the Real Housewives of DC. "Yes, I spoke with Diane Dimond by phone and declined to interview for her book on the Salahis. I did not ask or request for any money. Even if she would have offered to pay me for an interview, I would have refused". Geraldo Rivera, defended Ms. Jones, stating that Fox News does not pay for their stories, thus affirming Ms. Jones is not requesting compensation from the media.

Through their attorney the couple are attempting to discredit Ms. Jones in hopes she will keep quiet from divulging further facts of her knowledge of the Salahis and the events leading up to and after the White House State Dinner of November 2009. "This is another manipulative stunt by the Salahis. I am surprised a woman of Ms. Bloom's caliber would fall victim to their diabolical charm. The Salahi's have gone through various attorneys since the November incident. The trail of unpaid bills and disgruntled businesses whom have worked with the couple is long. Their modus operandi, to acquire services, use services and then simply cut out on paying for them" appears to be unending and I view it as a personal obligation to forewarn others of my experience."
