Former student alleges Abuse at New York boarding school

May 16, 2010

A campaign against an abusive boarding school just announced that two more former students have submitted their testimonials that allege abusive conditions at The Family Foundation School in New York

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) May 16, 2010 -- Today, The Family Foundation School TRUTH Campaign, an expose campaign against a New York State private boarding school, announced that two more students came forward with their experiences while enrolled against their will at the facility. The two students, who attended The Family Foundation School in Hancock, New York, submitted their testimonials to the TRUTH campaign alleging abusive conditions while they were imprisoned at the school.

The Family School TRUTH Campaign has an ongoing investigation and PR campaign to expose the abuses at the private facility, run by the Argiros Family for the past thirty years. The Campaign alleges that throughout the history of the private, unlicensed school, children were abused; emotionally, physically, mentally, and sexually.

The Campaign says that the two alumni who sent in their testimonials are brave and courageous former students and said that many former students are sending in their testimonials weekly when they become aware of the anti-school campaign.

The testimonials, along with investigations into The Family Foundation School, can be found on the TRUTH Campaign's website (www.TheFamilySchoolTRUTH.com).
The Family Foundation School responded to the anti-school campaign via internet blogs, stating that the alumni who have alleged abuse are 'disgruntled'.

Kenny Fingerman, Director of the alumni campaign, said "Former students of an abusive facility don't fabricate stories like the ones we hear; employees get 'disgruntled', not abuse victims. The school needs to take responsibility for their actions. A student committed suicide at the school in 2004 by jumping off a building to his death - is the school going to say he was disgruntled? Students who are sent to The Family School need professional help from qualified staff, not ex-drug addicts with no education or certification."

The Campaign is seeking any former student of the facility who were abused to come forward with their story.
Since the start of the expose last year, no criminal investigation has been started by local police. For more information, visit the Family Foundation School TRUTH Campaign's website.
