FORTIS COLLEGE PROMOTES MIAMI CAMPUS PRESIDENT

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 13, 2012 -- CUTLER BAY, Fla. – (January 12, 2012) – Fortis College, a leading post-secondary education institution, has promoted Denyse Antunes from her position as president of the Miami campus to area manager for Fortis College. She also will serve as president of Fortis College, Cutler Bay, which opened its campus in July 2011. In her new position, she will supervise the Miami campus while overseeing operations at the Cutler Bay campus.

Antunes has been on staff at Fortis College for nine years. She began her career as director of admissions before accepting the position of president for the Miami campus. During her five-year tenure as campus president, she helped expand the campus offerings to include Dental Assisting and Emergency Medical Services-Paramedic. She assumes her new role on Nov. 16 and will focus primarily on creating a premier nursing school at the Cutler Bay campus.

“Denyse’s appointment reflects our internal commitment to promote from within as management positions with expanded responsibilities open,” said Regional Vice President Bill Polmear. “Her previous success on the Miami campus and her commitment to the Fortis culture make this promotion a perfect fit.”

Antunes received her Bachelor of Art in Communication from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. The Cutler Bay campus was specifically designed to offer a premier nursing school. The comprehensive simulations labs and support services are in place to promote excellent student outcomes, both on licensing exams and in finding employment. Currently the school is accepting applications for the Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) program and the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program for classes that will start in 2012.
