Leadership Baldwin County's Class of 2010 Infrastructure Group announced today that a forum will be held to provide information and facilitate discussion about the proposed extension of the Beach Express road north to Interstate 65.

The forum, slated for March 30 at 6 p.m., will be held at Robertsdale City Hall and is open to the public. Scheduled speakers include Robertsdale Mayor Charlie Murphy; Chairman of the Baldwin County Commission Charles “Skip” Gruber; Emergency Management Agency Director Leigh Ann Ryals; Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance President Robert Ingram; G.U.M.B.O president Anthony Kaiser; and representatives from the Alabama Department of Transportation and the Baldwin County engineer’s office. Representatives from the county’s municipalities and county commission are expected to be in attendance as well.

"We are pleased to host this forum for the citizens of Baldwin County regarding the extension of the Beach Express road. We believe people want information and have questions about the two potential routes that have been identified," said Scott Shamburger, Project Manager for the forum. "This open discussion will include a question and answer session to help people obtain information about the proposed road."

"Businesses and individuals will be affected by the placement of this road. We believe it is important to provide factual information about both proposed routes and provide an appropriate forum for questions," said Shamburger.
