FAPE announces new members of Board of Directors: Bob Colacello, Michele Kessler, Suydam Lansing, Adam Levin, Nancy Marks, Elizabeth Pozen, Sheila Johnson Robbins, and John Studzinski CBE

October 21, 2011 — The Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies (FAPE), the leading non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the United States’ image abroad through American art, is delighted to announce that eight new members have joined its Board of Directors. The members are Bob Colacello, Michele Kessler, Suydam Lansing, Adam Levin, Nancy Marks, Elizabeth Pozen, Sheila Johnson Robbins, and John Studzinski CBE.

FAPE’s Board is comprised of some of the country’s leading philanthropists, art patrons and business professionals. The eight new members will continue to add to that legacy through their professional experience, established networks and passion for American art. Their support ensures that the organization continues to build relationships with prominent American artists and forge strategic associations that make FAPE such a successful partner for the U.S. Department of State.

FAPE’s Chairman Jo Carole Lauder said, “FAPE’s Board members are a vital part of our organization and provide critical expertise. We are honored to welcome our newest members and are confident that their dedication to the arts and commitment to our mission will prove invaluable to the future growth and success of FAPE."

FAPE has donated works by more than 208 preeminent American artists that have been placed throughout U.S. embassies and consulates in 140 countries. FAPE’s work has been accomplished through three primary programs: the Site-Specific Collection, the Lee Kimche McGrath Original Print Collection, and the Gift to the Nation Collection. FAPE’s largest project to date, the highly celebrated Collection at the United States Mission to the United Nations (USUN), was completed last year in honor of FAPE’s 25th Anniversary. Since the organization’s founding in 1986, FAPE has enjoyed the support of each administration and former Secretaries of State including: George Shultz, James Baker, Warren Christopher, Madeleine Albright, Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice and Hillary Clinton.
