Four Red Pandas Will Meet You at Ocean Park Hong Kong!

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 8, 2009 -- Tai Shan (translation: Tarzan,) Rou Rou (translation: gentle,) Cong Cong (translation: smart,) and Li Zi (translation: chestnut,) the four red pandas that are undergoing acclimatization and quarantine at Ocean Park since their arrival from Chengdu, China on 22 March, are growing well and adapting to their new environment. The public debut for the red pandas,has been set for 30 April, when the Amazing Asian Animals attraction zone opens.

Currently, Ocean Park’s animal trainers are conducting a host of enrichment training for the red panda . Adaptive training includes sound training, if the trainer lets the panda contact clap applause and voice, that they can be used in different voice. In addition, the nurse will also have four panda with different combination, so let them coexist in the training process of building relationships.This is part of our husbandry training to help assess their health and enable us to provide the best practice of care to the red pandas .

Now the red pandas have good health, and are very curious about other panda and new environment.They eat three meals every day, and their main food is bamboo. Each panda eat around 3-5 kilograms of bamboo, corn, milk and high-fiber biscuit to supplement their different nutritional needs. The red pandas are making great progress in their acclimatization and growth. The public should take to these lovely red pandas immediately once the guests can see them up close.
