Tampa Bay Remembers 9-11 at Patriot Day 2011

(Tampa, FL) - Everyone in world knows the horror that struck our country on September 11, 2001; yet our country has come together to rebuild and overcome that tragic event. We still honor those that lost their lives in the towers and those heroes who tried to save them and Patriot Day 2011 is designed to do just that.

On September 11, 2011 Tampa Bay will pay homage to those who lost their lives on that tragic day, and celebrate the progress we've made as a country since then at the Patriot Day event on Channel Side Drive in Tampa.

Those who attend will be able to walk aboard the WWII American Victory Ship Mariners Museum for a 10 year memorial of that tragic day in American History hosted by Channel 10's Reginald Roundtree who reported on the attacks that very day.

You will also meet local heroes from the Tampa Police Department, Fire Department and some of our military.

This event takes place at 701 Channelside Dr., Tampa, FL from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM on the beautiful shore of the Channelside District.

Following the event join Mayor Bob Buckhorn in a special observance and memorial dedication at the Tampa Bay FireFighter Museum. There a special memorial mural will be unveiled honoring all that died at Ground Zero.

This event runs from 9:45 AM to 1:00 PM at 720 East Zack Street, Tampa, FL. For more information you can visit http://tampafiremusuem.org and stay for food and entertainment following the presentation.
