Franklin Sports Has A Dozen Competing In World Series As Cardinals-Rangers Set For Game 7 Tonight

Twelve players who wear Franklin batting gloves are on the rosters as teh two teams battle in game seven tonight in St. Louis.

The “Fall Classic” combatants are down to ONE FINAL GAME after the Red Birds stirring win to deadlock the series against the Rangers. As St. Louis gets set to battle Texas in tonight’s Game 7, will there be a Franklin Sports hero in the last stand? Franklin, the maker of the Official Batting Glove of Major League Baseball, has six roster players on each squad. Franklin’s Lance Berkman set the stage for last night’s 11th inning drama with a flood gate of key hits, going three-for-five with a two run homer earlier, before his clutch single tied the game in the 10th.
With the Game Six highlight reel, Berkman elevated his career World Series batting average to .417 (15-for-36) with a homer, 3 doubles and 11 RBI. In this year’s six game Fall Classic, Berkman has a sizzling .435 (10-for-23) average with last night’s circuit blast and 5 total runs batted in. Franklin cohort Daniel Descalso was 2-for-2 in Game 6, and scored the first of two Cardinal runs in the bottom of the 10th. Red Birds catcher Yadier Molina –Leads all Cardinals batters with 7 RBI in the Series.
Josh Hamilton had Texas poised for a championship when his two run homer in the top of the 10th gave the Rangers a 9-7 lead. Hamilton was was 3-for-6 in Game 6 with three RBI.
