Fred Smilek and the Society to Save Endangered Species get Haute Tempered at Animal Cruelty.

September 2, 2009

The Society to Save Endangered Species is fierce when it comes to protecting animals. Mr. Smilek found it only natural to bring that ferocity to the runway

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) September 2, 2009 -- Eugene, Oregon -- September 2, 2009 As the Fall season is now upon us, we all prepare for a warmer dress code in this cooler climate, with the exception of southern California and most of Florida. With shoppers eagerly forming lines in front of boutiques and department stores all over the nation, Fred Smilek is pleading for customers to first learn how those once breathing creatures became lifeless garments.

“One of the most tragic and disturbing practices of mankind comes with the fashion industry,” passionately commented Fred Smilek, founder and CEO of the Society to Save Endangered Species. “Many suppliers of the raw materials used in clothing production not only neglect the well being of each animal by providing horrible living conditions, they then go a step further and murder each animal to take its fur or hide, and in many cases, skinning animals while they are still alive!” Smilek went on to add that he is not out to blatantly attack the fashion industry or throw red paint on anyone who walks out of a clothing store, but he is merely asking for people to educate themselves on animal cruelty and to make sure they are not contributing to it.
There are plenty of resources available online on both decent and indecent animal treatment that list which clothiers are being animal friendly with the use of “faux fur” and many other alternative materials. The Society to Save Endangered Species was founded by Fred over two years ago and has since raised nearly $30,000 for the protection of endangered animals all over the world. Approaching twenty active members, the society is becoming a recognizable ally to endangered species and their fellow shepherds across the globe.
