Free Media Monitoring Service for Not-for Profits: Application Deadline Extended by CyberAlert

CyberAlert, Inc., the worldwide media monitoring service, has extended the deadline to January 9 for not-for-profit organizations to apply for one of the Company’s 2012 PR grants.

Stratford, CT. — 12/27/2011 — Each grant consists of one year of free online news and/or social media monitoring service. More information and a simple and secure grant application are available online at https://secure.cyberalert.com/grantsX.html.
CyberAlert plans to award PR grants to a minimum of 15 non-profit and philanthropic organizations for 2012. Any type of organization in the U.S. or worldwide that provides charitable services is eligible for the grant. The retail value of the free year of media monitoring ranges from $3,000 to $4,500.
Between 2004 and 2011, CyberAlert awarded 164 media monitoring grants to not-for-profit organizations with an aggregate retail value of over $375,000. Among the 20 grant recipients for 2011 were Black Business & Professional Association (Canada), BrainTrust Canada, Children’s Brain Foundation, InterAction, JCC Maccabi Games Kaiserman JCC, MedShare, National Research Center for Women and Families, PEACE OUTside Campus, Society for Public Health Education, Surgical Eye Expeditions (SEE), Texas Organ Sharing Alliance, and United Nation’s University.
In past years, the PR grants were restricted to organizations in the United States and Canada. This year all charitable organizations worldwide are eligible to apply for a grant, except for previous grant recipients. In the past, the selection criteria favored organizations offering services nationally or internationally in health and safety, education, environment, children’s and family services and voter education. Past recipients have also included professional associations and museums.
CyberAlert will announce the grant recipients at the end of January.
