Free Museum Admission for All during February School Vacation Week Thanks to Generous Support from Citizens Bank Foundation

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 9, 2012 -- Manchester, NH – Bring your family to the Currier Museum of Art Monday Feb. 27 through Friday Mar. 2 (closed Tuesday) for educational, fun and free art activities. Free admission for adults during February vacation week is underwritten by Citizens Bank Foundation. Admission to the Currier is always free for children age 17 and younger.

Day-By-Day Vacation Week Highlights

Monday Storytime in the Gallery, 11:30 am

Listen to Perfect Square by Michael Hall, look at Homage to the Square: Early Rising I by Josef Albers, and create a work of art of your own. Recommended for ages 2-5 but all are welcome. Or at 1 pm listen to An Eye for Color: The Story of Josef Albers by Natasha Wing, look at Homage to the Square: Early Rising I by Josef Albers, and create a work of art of your own. Recommended for ages 5-8 but all are welcome.

Wednesday Family Studio, 11 am-1 pm
Create a mobile inspired by the work of artist Alexander Calder.

Thursday Family Drawing in the Galleries, 11 am-1 pm
Like drawing? Get inspired by art on view in the galleries!

Friday Family Tour: What Will Happen Next? 11 am
Use clues in works of art and your imagination to come up with stories about what will happen next in works of art on view in the galleries.
