Frog’s Leap Wine Dinner at the Yardley Inn

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 6, 2010 -- On August 12, 2010, the Yardley Inn Restaurant & Bar invites guests to enjoy fine Frog’s Leap wines thoughtfully paired with a five-course meal of Chef Eben’s creative cuisine. Designed to be a fun social event before the end of the summer, the Frog’s Leap Wine Dinner kicks off at 7 p.m.

The Napa Valley based Frog’s Leap Winery grows their grapes organically and without the use of irrigation, having done so since 1988. The winery takes the green lifestyle seriously, with efforts in solar power and composting. Perhaps most notable of all, Frog’s Leap Winery maintains a good sense of humor in running their business. This unique characteristic gives a new perspective in enjoying wine.

A selection of Frog’s Leap wines accentuates the bill of fare offered in the five-course meal designed by Yardley Inn Executive Chef Eben Copple. The menu for the Yardley Inn’s Frog’s Leap Wine Dinner includes:

Course One: Sauvignon Blanc
Apricot carpaccio, mache, ricotta salata, burnt honey

Course Two: Chardonnay
Licorice skewered frog’s legs, garlic, chervil, rice puree

Course Three: Zinfandel
Spaghetti alla chittarra, tomato conserva, eggplant caviar, robiola

Course Four: Cabernet Sauvignon
New-style blackened beef, sauce africaine, burning cherry wood

Course Five: Coffee
White peach granita, cinnamon honey, shortbread streusel

The fine, organically produced wines are matched to the menu, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Frog’s Leap Wine Dinner takes place on Thursday, August 12 at 7 p.m. at the Yardley Inn Restaurant & Bar. The cost to attend the wine dinner is $85 per person, plus tax and gratuity. For reservations, please call 215.493.3800.
