http://www.eleanorvannatta.com LOS ANGELES, CA, January 23, 2012: The Carl Jung Institute of Los Angeles presents Arlene Landau, PhD, this Friday, January 27th, as part of their Winter/Spring public program series. Arlene will discuss her writing process and read brief excerpts from her newly released book, “Tragic Beauty: The Dark Side of Venus Aphrodite and the Loss and Regeneration of Soul”. The author will sign copies of her book, and it will be available for purchase through the C.G. Jung bookstore. The Institute is located at 10349 Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, and the program runs from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM; they can be reached at 310-556-1193. The cost of the program is $15 and is open to the public, and registration can done over the phone by calling the Institute.
Arlene Diane Landau, Ph.D., is a Diplomate Senior Jungian Analyst and is a member of the C. G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles, the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts, and the International Association for Analytical Psychology. Dr. Landau has been a certified Jungian analyst for 16 years and a psychotherapist for 25 years. She is a board member of the Archive for Research in Archetypal Symbolism. Dr. Landau holds a bachelor’s degree in fine art, master’s degrees in psychology and mythological studies, and a Ph.D. in mythological studies and has lectured internationally. Dr. Landau has presented her lecture “Aphrodite’s Shadow in Beverly Hills and Hollywood” for the Jung societies in Colorado, Berlin, and Los Angeles, among others, and is a frequent conference presenter. She is in private practice in Pacific Palisades, California. END ###
