Historically significant items include exceptional, original oil on board portraits of Senator Isaac Stephenson and his wife (artist signed 1884); a fantastic collection of original documents, clippings and sailor hatband detailing the christening of the USS Wisconsin BB-9 in 1898; an original invitation for the Senator to a reception for Admiral Dewey; a 1914 invitation to the Wilson White House; numerous RPPC’s depicting early life in northern Wisconsin; early I. Stephenson lumber mill photo; 1916 photo of Senator Stephenson on the Senate steps; a fantastic tintype photo of the Senator and many other items. A special item to note is a complete Indian Wars era (1870’s-80’s) ammunition belt with scabbard, pouch, medallion and buckle in fantastic condition.

Other items to watch for in this truly incredible estate are a multiple trophy winning 1967, 33’ sailboat aptly named “Perfection” that comes with many sails and extras, a super clean 2009 Chrysler Sebring convertible (only 16,750miles), a very nice Club Car golf cart, many 1800’s items including a large number of sterling pieces from nut dishes to trophies, an incredible library of books (many rare issues) to include automobile racing, manuals and significant issues for many exotic vehicles including Rolls Royce, Bentley, MG, Aston Martin, Bugati and others, aviation, sailing and yachting, and children’s books; many fantastic real aviation framed photos, EAA items, a small amount of fine jewelry(gold/silver), hard to find local interest items from northern Wisconsin and the UP, an incredible Revolutionary War era etching by Pennie Brownscombe titled “Mrs. Murray Welcomes the Soldiers”, a nice artist proof etching from French artist Charlet titled “Interior in Mraken”, signed H. Gordon Warlow etching, antique oak flatware chest, many Auto Club Badges (US & International) and many other desirable items from antique to contemporary!
