Intuitive Marketing SEO has learned that through collaboration with Adobe, Google has spearheaded another advance in search engine optimisation technology to extend its SWF indexing capabilities.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 6, 2011 --
Sverre Sundsdal and Jifeng Situ, two software engineers for the giant Google, made this announcement as the company confirmed yet another step in a programme begun two years ago with significant improvement in Google’s ability to index Flash technology-based content.
Last year Google followed up with confirmation of their addition of external resource loading to its SWF indexing capabilities.
Mr Situ explains, “That work has been able to let us index all types of textual content in files type SWF, from menus and Flash buttons to (http://www.intuitivemarketingseo.com/) websites with self-contained and Flash technology. Currently, almost any text a user can see as he interacts with a file SWF type on the website can be organised and indexed by Googlebot. This is then used to generate a match query terms or snippet in Google searches.”
Additionally, he says, Google can discover URLs in SWF files, and then actually trace those links.
Last month Google made its latest breakthrough with further expansion of SWF indexing capabilities, backed by a continuing successful relationship with Adobe as well as a more robust library.
According to Mr Sundsdal: “The new library is compatible with features supported by Flash Player 10.1, and thanks to the way we handle Java script we are also now significantly better at recognising and indexing sites that use Java script to embed SWF content.”
In a final touch to Google’s operational enhancement, the engineers say, they have implemented improvements to their technology on video indexing, resulting in a much better and efficient detection of video on a page and better extraction of meta-data from videos with Flash technology.
Mr Sundsdal concludes by saying, “Our SWF indexing technology now allows us to see SWF content on hundreds of millions of pages across the web.”
