The future of the auto industry is pointing toward electric battery powered and hybrid vehicles as the solutions to energy and fuel consumption issues, but electric auto technology does come with a few issues of its own. Volvo and the team at Imperial College hope that the weight of electric, battery powered autos will be decreased by 15 percent just by using this material. Volvo is the only auto company participating in the project.
