FTUB suggests the Myitsone area to be designated a National Park

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 5, 2011 -- The previous junta made wrong decisions on energy devlopments in Burma. Some are being corrected for the future generations of the country. The Irrawaddy Myitsone dam is one big project that is being corrected - socially, economically and politicall.

Within a short period, the people and the President reached an agreement and it will be put on hold for the tenure of this government.

To make it last forever, FTUB urges that a legislation be passed to declare the Myitsone area a National Park.

While proceeding in this manner, there is a possibility that international investors will be taking legal remedies. All of us from Burma, if we want the Irrawaddy to be saved, must stand up together against possible international legal actions from the investors. FTUB is ready to work with all the peoples of Burma to preserve the Irrawaddy should there be a need on this kind of action.
