Tokyo, Japan – Beta LaserMike, a leading global provider of precision measurement and control solutions, announces that Fukase & Co. will be exhibiting Beta LaserMike’s LaserSpeed non-contact length and BenchMike sample inspection system at Convertech Japan 2012 (February 15 – 17). Fukase, an authorized Beta LaserMike agent, will be located in the Fukase booth (J-07, East Hall) at the Tokyo Big Sight convention center.
Fukase will demonstrate the many advantages of the Beta LaserMike LaserSpeed non-contact encoder over mechanical-type methods. A direct replacement for error-prone contact wheel encoders and tachometers, LaserSpeed uses advanced, laser-based technology to precisely measure the length and speed of product during production. Length and speed measurements are captured with better than +0.05% accuracy, 0.02% repeatability at speeds up to 12,000 m/min (39,400 ft/min) – and down to true zero speed. LaserSpeed has no moving parts and is factory calibrated, reducing the need for routine adjustments and maintenance. Because of its high accuracy and reliability, it has become the standard measurement technology for a wide range of converting applications involving paper, film, foil, and other materials. Applications include continuous length measurement, speed control such as differential speed, cut control, post-cut length, and product positioning, to name a few.
Fukase will also showcase the Beta LaserMike BenchMike table-top system for fast, accurate, and repeatable measurement of parts. This laser measurement device does not touch the product, thereby eliminating part distortion and operator influence which can affect measurements. BenchMike can either be used in a Quality Control (QC) laboratory or on the plant floor to measure a range of part types and part dimensions. Dimension measurements include diameter, multiple ODs, TIR, taper, and part position. BenchMike is available in four different models and provides a measurement range of 0.001" to 2.0" with linearity as low as ±0.000020”.
Free Product Demonstrations
Fukase will be conducting LaserSpeed and BenchMike product demonstrations throughout the show and invites Convertech attendees to bring in product samples for free off-line trial measurements. Product specialists will be available to discuss application and system requirements.
