Full Performance Fitness switches from GoEmerchant to GoDaddy for shopping cart services

(www.FullPerformanceFitness.com) has reimplemented their web store with the GoDaddy deluxe Quick Shopping Cart. The site originally used GoEmerchant, beginning in 2004. FPF is expecting to get better integration to QuickBooks through GoDaddy, as well as better integration with Google tools. The GoEmerchant cart did offer recurring billing options for subscription products, like monthly vitamin deliveries. But, those types of repeat charges are easily handled in QuickBooks, so the need for it in the shopping cart is mute.

The implementation of the new shopping cart from GoDaddy took approximately 6 hours to setup.. FPF has 14 products in the store, is using quantity discount pricing as well as the sale pricing features of the cart. The main portion of the FPF site is hosted by Yahoo!, and a sub-domain of store.fullperformancefitness.com is established for the cart. The integration between the two hosting companies was very easy to establish, taking about 20 minutes for an intermediate web-developer.

There is one slow point in the GoDaddy process, which is the activation of the new SSL certificate. Of course, the final result is dependent upon DNS servers, services and registrars.
