Futo-Kan MMA is Colorado’s newest hot spot for fun and effective martial arts training. Futo-Kan, Japanese meaning “To Never Back Down!” is run by martial arts veterans Master Mike Bidwell and Mr. Harrison Snider (over 51 years experience between them). Futo-Kan MMA is a true smorgasbord for martial arts enthusiast and beginners alike. Futo-Kan offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), traditional karate, martial arts gymnastics, street self-defense, fitness classes, yoga and kid’s leadership mastery training! Bidwell states, “Our innovative approach to teaching truly addresses the needs of every student. Futo-Kan offers smaller classes with more individualized attention. We accomplish this through a groundbreaking approach to teaching from over thirty years of experience and research.

Bidwell calls his unique teaching methodology, My Personal Master Training Systems. “As a martial arts instructor with over thirty-one years experience, one thing has become abundantly clear to me, the old way of running classes with 40 plus students just doesn’t work…what I have seen is that smaller classes with more personalized attention truly serves the students needs and challenges”, says Bidwell.

“Our goal at Futo-Kan is to create an extended family for our students where they can train hard and have fun in a family environment. Futo-Kan MMA features a very effective kid’s martial arts program. The classes are open to kid’s aged 3 ½ to adults. In addition, Futo-Kan offers family classes. In these classes parents and their children train together. “I love the family classes because I get to do something with my children that you can’t do anywhere else…it’s fun watching my kids progress through the program and experiencing their successes right alongside them,” says father and student Randy Hoffman of Littleton.
