Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Arizona members advance to National Competition!
On April 18-20, over 1,400 high school students, teachers, business members and community leaders from all across Arizona convened at the Westin La Paloma in Tucson, AZ for the 49th State Conference.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Arizona members advance to National Competition!
On April 18-20, over 1,400 high school students, teachers, business members and community leaders from all across Arizona convened at the Westin La Paloma in Tucson, AZ for the 49th Annual FBLA Arizona State Leadership Conference. This year’s conference proved that FBLA members are “Building Better Business!” Over $10,000 in scholarship and prize money was awarded and students competed in over 50 different types of competitions relating to business, management, accounting, computer programming and entrepreneurship.
Brandon Ames, President and CEO of ABLE, Inc. received the Annual “Business Person of the Year” award and Dennis Fiscus, Director of Student Organizations, and Shea Padilla, State Supervisor of Business & Marketing Education, both of the Career and Technical Education Unit of the Department of Education, received Honorary FBLA Arizona Lifetime Memberships. On hand to provide keynote addresses about breaking the mental handcuffs that hold us back was award winning motivational speaker, Alton Jamison. The top winners in each event will now advance to the FBLA National Leadership in Orlando, FL on June 26 – July 3, to compete against 8,000 other FBLA students from all over the US.
FBLA is a dynamic organization of young people who are actively interested in pursuing careers in business. With over 225,000 members nation-wide, FBLA is the premier student business organization in the entire world. Along with scholarship, community service and civic service opportunities, FBLA provides recognition and leadership activities directly related to attainment of specific occupational and leadership skills. FBLA Arizona has over 4,600 members in 100+ high schools and middle schools across the state.
