Futuristic Happy Hour: Order Food and Drinks right from your mobile.

Since its launch, Taap.itLive Local has always found a way to work with small businesses who use their services in order to help them grow. Taap.it is now teaming up with Sigma Burger Pie , a new eatery which opened up recently a few blocks away from the campus of NYU. Together, they are going to give its current and potential costumers a new way to experience a happy hour. On Thursday, January 12th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Sigma Burger Pie will host a “taapy hour” which will consist of beer, pizza and wings specials which can be taken advantage of by consumers if they order using the Taap.it mobile app . “Think of how cool and how convenient it will be to order food and drinks from your iPhone and just go up to the counter and pick them up. If you’re running late to the happy hour and you want your order to be ready as soon as you get there you can place your order through our app no matter where you’re at and pick up it once you arrive,” said Jesus Perez, Marketing Manager at Taap.it.

To take advantage of the happy hour deals consumers must download Taap.it on their iPhone device . After downloading the app they must sign-up using either an email or their facebook account. Then they will be able to purchase what they want from the menu. The happy hours specials will include; beers for $1, an order of wings for $1.50 and a slice of pizza for $.50 . “Think about it as opening up a tap at a bar without having to leave your card with the bartender. You’re able to order as much as you want and just walk up to the counter without having to wait in line and pick up your order,” said Jesus.

Allowing consumers to order from their mobile device and picking up the order at the counter isn’t the only thing Taap.it is letting consumers experience at the “taapy hour”. The mobile app company has a sharing system in place which allows consumers to rate the items inside of a store and share it with friends. By rating the items and sharing it with friends consumers are earning points which they can later redeem for prizes .

It’s also highly beneficial for small businesses, since the more their items are rated and shared the more visible their store will become. “Think foursquare with a more in-depth tone to it,” said Jesus. “What is being offered inside the place matters more than the place itself. If you can walk into a restaurant and know what their best dish is, it will make your selection process that much easier.”
