Is the question that everyone is asking , I guess it is a fair question but as I always tell all my students – what is your motive – ten years from now , will your reason for workout so hard still exists. I recommend you workout to gain muscle , however the ultimate motive should always be to live a healthy lifestyle. This is more important than any muscle you may build. Do not be a muscle mutt, be a well educated person who knows what they are doing.

Gain muscle – My advice to you is do all your exercises very slowly, this is call isometric training , which will give you endurance , mass and definition. You see the simple action of doing any exercise very very slowly actually produces fast results without little effort. It works in the way you body naturally builds muscle. I also strengthens your tendons and caused greater bone density. Do not underestimate this technique – It is simple but it works!

How To Gain Muscle – The second step is ensure that you reps remains to a minimum and you weight increases very, very slowly. If you are straining to lift the weight , it is too heavy. The exercise or weight should provide some resistance but not be so heavy or too painful to accomplish. Follow the second rule – Low reps , slow movement and a very slow increase in intensity or weight.
