Game On Images Announces Their 2011 NHL Player and Logo Collection

Each player image in the collection was created by noted hockey artist Glen Green, and is officially licensed by the NHL and the National Hockey League Player’s Association (NHLPA), according to Trevor Small, Senior Vice President, Game On Images.

“We are thrilled to make the artwork of internationally recognized hockey artist Glen Green accessible to hockey fans everywhere,” Small said. “We’re timing our first release to coincide with the Stanley Cup Playoffs, because we feel Glen’s artwork exudes the same intensity and excitement as an NHL playoff game.”

Each Game On Image print is a giclée image that was created using state-of-the-art computer technology to reproduce the original, Small noted. “Giclée is the French word meaning ‘to spray,’ and our giclée reproduction process uses a fine stream of ink to spray millions of droplets per second onto the canvas. This process produces deep, saturated colors while retaining the minute details and subtle tints of each original image.”

Game On Images prints are also gallery wrapped, meaning the main image continues on the side of the print. With the canvas stretched around the wooden stretcher bars, and no visible nails or staples, Game On prints can be hung with no framing needed, according to Small. “Our goal with the 2011 NHL Collection was to offer every hockey fan a high quality piece of art that would look just as good in a home theater, game room, or man-cave as it would in a gallery!”
