FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) October 11, 2009 -- To prepare for sticker printing you have to gear up properly. Whether this is a personal kind of sticker printing, or even the business kind, you will need the proper tools. So to help you gear up for your own sticker printing, here are the things you need to properly do it.

- A sketchpad and pencil – The sketchpad and pencil is needed for your initial design. While most people prefer doing drafts on a digital canvass, most experts still trust the hand and the pencil, your mind and the paper to start the creative process. Imaging software in the computer only limits your mind at the start of the process, so a sketchpad and pencil is essential in starting up the different key concept designs your brain is thinking up for stickers.

- A sticker template – To help you even further though, you might want to use a standard sticker template for use in your imaging software. Templates should give you an easy time in defining the dimensions of your sticker design, as well as helping you place guidelines and important file format issues. So try to download the various sticker templates that should help you get started with digital design.

- A digital printer – When the design is done, you will then need to use a digital printer that is perfect for sticker printing. I usually recommend laser jet digital printers since the inks are quick drying unlike ink jet printers that smudge and deteriorate early. Also, desktop printing toner is far more easier to apply in most sticker papers, unlike the ink jet ones.

- Blank adhesive paper – Of course, stickers won't stick if there is no adhesive paper at hand. So you will need to buy your own blank adhesive paper if you want to print stickers at home. Make sure that the paper though is perfectly suited to your type of ink in the printer. So make sure that the paper says “inkjet safe” or “laser jet” safe in its indications before buying them up. With this last gear, you should be able to start producing your first stickers already.

- Printing service (optional) – As an alternate route to printing stickers though, you can try hiring a printing service that can print custom stickers. This is the easiest and most convenient tool for sticker printing, though it might cost a bit much than personal sticker printing, because you will be charged for labor. You just send your designs and pay for the printing service. Afterwards the stickers arrive via delivery. You can find these printing services easily over the Internet.

Great! Now you know the proper gear for sticker printing! You can now start with relative confidence. Good Luck!
