Backed by leading private investors, the company is bringing to market the industry’s first fully automatically updated and micro behavioral-targeted (MBT) personalized ‘home-page’ which features content only of specific interest to the user – including favorite websites, news/blog updates, interest orientated Facebook and Twitter friend updates, a Google search bar, videos, articles and more.

Entering the flourishing web personalization industry, Genieo will enable white-label partners, including desktop applications, telco operators, online service providers, and other media companies, to generate content that increases customer retention. Building home-pages using micro behavioral targeting, Genieo opens up new revenue opportunities for marketing premium services. Genieo also plans to launch its own branded version directly available for consumers in early 2010.

Genieo automatically discovers the user's topics of interest and generates a personal home-page with relevant content and ad-hoc personalized news widgets. Unlike other personalization solutions, Genieo does not collect or share any private information. As a desktop application its entire mapping and profiling process is performed solely on the client side. Genieo also respects secure content and automatically disables itself once a user navigates to secure sites.
