Georgia Military College Opens New Campus In Stone Mountain Village

Snellville, Georgia, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) June 27, 2011 -- Georgia Military College Announces the opening of its Stone Mountain campus. The Stone Mountain school will open its doors July 1st .

Located at 5325 Manor Drive, Stone Mountain, Ga. 30083 , in the downtown Historic Stone Mountain Village area, next door to the Sue Kellogg Library. GMC will be open for all who are seeking higher knowledge, be it military or community!

So, this new Dekalb County college campus will exemplify the growth of this military college to expand its initial school's mission, to become a local community accredited two year college, as well for all who seek a higher level of education.

Not to be mistaken as a brand new university, Georgia Military College has been established since 1879, and has eight other campuses throughout the state of Georgia, that is today ranked #12 by Washington Monthly Magazine's Top Community Colleges.

To be sure, GMC is determined to remain here for all the returning military soldiers from abroad, who want to continue their education, after their military obligations.

Janis Anderson is heading this new campus of Georgia Military College. She is very able and capable to lead eager students to grasp knowledge.

Ninety-five percent of those enrolled at Georgia Military College are commuting students who balance attending college while maintaining employment and providing for their family.

This campus is located on the Marta bus line, less than a mile from the Stone Mountain Park main entrance. GMC Stone Mountain extension campus is scheduled to start offering classes in August of this year.
