The International Festival of Buenos Aires (FIBA) has been established as one of the most important festivals in Latin America, where you can enjoy a variety of artistic trends expressed in both theater and dance, visual arts and sound.

The Ministry of Culture of Buenos Aires together with FIBA and the National Theatre Institute will be conducting a Contest of Theatre Projects to boost the releases. This aim promoted a call for free subject unpublished projects by groups who reside or conduct their activities in the city of Buenos Aires. Six of these projects were selected, receiving the sum of 30 thousand dollars to cover their achievements. The selection was in charge of a renowned jury integrated by Carlos Pacheco, director and actor Jorge Graciosi, and the artistic director of the Theatre Complex of Buenos Aires, Alberto Ligaluppi.

This new edition of the Festival has the participation of 14 foreign companies and 34 national events, art direction will be headed by Dario Loperfido, who was also responsible for the first two editions, which a total of twenty venues were occupied including theaters, private auditoriums, cultural centers and public spaces.

Tickets can be purchased through www.festivales.gob.ar or at: Casa de la Cultura (Culture House), Av. de Mayo 575. Monday to Friday from 11am to 7pm. Also, at the Municipal Theater General San Martín, on Av. Corrientes 1530, daily from 11am to 7pm. The value for national shows is $8 and international performances range from $30 to $ 70.
