After year of consulting and counseling hundreds of people in a myriad of fields, Gian noticed that most people are more concerned with empathetic listening than they are with getting advice.

Men are the worst offenders. Because men are socially conditioned to be knowledgeable, they are naturally inclined to be problem solvers. Women are not. Women are more compassionate; and thus, can be be empathetic listeners as a result.

Women report that men are often too quick to solve the problems of others, and as a result, are anxious to give advice.
