Glee Star, Top Chef Contestant, Daily Show Correspondent Attend Fundraiser for Flood Victims

(Chicago, IL) -- Over two hundred people attended the celebrity fundraiser, Stars for Hope, at Carnivale in Chicago on Sunday, January 16.

Hosted by OPEN Chicago, Stars for Hope included silent and live auctions, speeches by representatives from Oxfam America, the US State Department and celebrity entertainment to benefit victims of the catastrophic floods in Pakistan. Stars in attendance were Iqbal Theba, known for his role as Principal Figgins on “Glee,” Aasif Mandvi of “The Daily Show,” Malika Ameen, a contestant on “Top Chef: Just Desserts,” and Faran Tahir, who appeared in “Star Trek” and “Iron Man”.

"Don't think about the politics of what's going on [in Pakistan], just look at what's going on at the human level," said Iqbal Theba, star of Golden Globe winner for Best Comedy Series, ‘‘Glee.’
