G.E.A.R is the ultimate destination for the adventure seekers. Dez and Garret Bartelt have been professional extreme athletes for more than thirty years. Being the most adventurous athletic couple they have climbed difficult mountains and skied from some of the best summits in the world. Dez, being a travel writer is concerned about Mother Nature while Garret pushes them to remote locations. Now that they have retired they want to share their personal experience and guidelines for conducting adventure sports. Therefore, they have come up with this marvelous idea of reality TV show keeping in mind the ecological aspects.

About G.E.A.R-

G.E.A.R is the abbreviated form of the project name Global Environmental Adventure Research. Under this banner, Dez and Garret are planning to embark on global expeditions. Through their experience and expertise they will research and experiment in their expedition vehicle while trekking, skiing, water rafting, sea kayaking, ice climbing and many such high defined adventure sports. And while on the track, they will trial some of the evolved eco friendly gear. Their urge to save Mother Nature earns this concept the much wanted respect.

The equipment that made the GEAR expedition eco friendly

Dez and Garret are determined to take on the challenge of exploring the world in a Green Machine. It is 8x8, 40 ft, military styled HEMTT. The vehicle is being custom built to be a self-sustainable eco-friendly truck, which meets all the requirements for tough adventure sporting and it is also resistant to difficult environmental conditions.

Dez and Garret have developed a new reason to enjoy the trilling journey across the five sprawling continents. Their vehicle is none other than a Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck or HEMTT, famous for carrying US military supplies over tough terrains. It is 8x8, 40 ft truck that can satisfy all the primary human requirements within its confines. Starting from including alternative energy resources to including innovative devices of waste recycling, Dez has stick to her promise of leading each expedition in a planet friendly way. And it is just the initiation of a concern what we should all promise to practice.
