The current round of GNB successful international creative writing competitions for over a year, with entries coming in from around the world, ends on 30 June. Votes for the winning entry will be accepted until that date. We are now accepting entries for the next round of the competition
Our creative writing competition runs continuously, with a prize awarded every three months. We are looking for:
• Letters - what's going on where you live + travel, events, lifestyle and adventure
• Stories - comedy, tragedy - life with a twist in 600 words

• Poetry and verse
• Reviews- films, music, books, gigs, theatre etc. etc.
The best entries are selected by GNB and published, as they come in, on a daily basis, on www.globalnewsbox.com . Entries stay on the site until the end of the contest. Readers vote for their favourites, and the winner is the piece which has attracted the highest number of votes through the quarter. The current quarter will run until 30 June 2010, and we are open for entries. The winner of the last quarter’s competition, announced last week, was ‘Sugared Lips’ a short story by Andrew Campbell Kearsey.

GNB is an edited, international online magazine, based in London but open to the world, specialising in arts and society, where content is provided by us and by you, the readers. We publish short, interesting things every day under the headings You Say, the best contributions from our readers; and We Say, reviews of the arts scene in London, stories and articles from our own staff - just the right amount of reading for a coffee break. We run creative writing competitions to encourage and showcase new talent.
