Afternoon anchor, Richard J Hannah swapped the studio for the stage on Saturday at the prestigious Harleyford Golf Club in Marlow Buckinghamshire. He compered a packed Gala Event hosted by Candy Cocktail Events of High Wycombe that featured comedian Laura Muggeridge and the bands Silverton and Jus Chillin. 30 year old Lancastrian Laura Muggeridge had the house in fits of laughter in a 30 minute routine around her comic observations of life at 30. It was Hannah's storming performance as Charity auctioneer that caught the eye as he cajoled, charmed and amused Gala guests with off the cuff remarks to push up the takings for the event by another £1000. The event is thought to have raised nearly £10,000 for the MS Society.

Hannah was back to his show on the Monday, being described as "Awesome' by Candy CockTail Director, Laura Cook " Richard made a huge difference on the night - he's incredibly quick witted and so multi talented, he even puts the specialist singers to shame with his vocals".

The event was technically staged by Gems NFX of Lingfield in Surrey who gave their time for nothing.

Hannah ventures forth as a Compere again at the Warborough Festival 2010 in July.
