GLOBAL TRAVEL ALLIANCE SA CHARITY
Global Travel Alliance SA charity event in Soweto, helping the community is part of our duty.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 7, 2012 --
Recently, Global Travel Alliance South Africa’s (GTASA) staff rolled up their sleeves and headed for Soweto where they generously handed out food parcels to the local community. With approximately 10 000 (Ten Thousand) food items consisting of essentials like sugar, maize meal, samp, rice, lentils, beans, soya mince, sardines, soup, split peas and bread we managed to feed approximately 1100 families for a full week.
Zane Rinquest, GTASA’s Director commented that “At GTASA we strive to make a difference in communities where the children, the elderly and those who are less fortunate have little or no means to sustain their family. We believe that it is our duty as responsible citizens to provide whatever we can for the less fortunate”
GTASA employees handed out food parcels to the adults and then gave the children colouring books, crayons, school stationery and sweets to bring a little bit of comfort to the lives of these children.
After a charity drive like this, one is always left feeling like it will never be enough, but we say a heart felt thank you to every individual who contributed to this event and made it a huge success.
