Gluu Beta Launches: Cloud Service Enables Interdomain Identity Management and Identity Assurance

The beta release is an important milestone in the evolution of Gluu. The core feature set and cloud infrastructure is open for business to a key set of early adopters.”

Gluu also announced pricing for its service, when it is generally available. Customers participating in Gluu Beta will not have to pay membership fees until Gluu 1.0 is released, currently projected for early 2010. Gluu Enterprise membership, which includes support for one Community, is priced at $40,000 per year. Gluu Metaprise, which includes support for any number of Communities, is priced at $125,000 per year. Gluu has also published special pricing for non-profits and universities.

In Gluu Beta, SPML, DSML, LDAPS, and web based delegated administration are available to synchronize identity data. The Gluu Stick-- an appliance based solution for user synchronization—is also available upon request. The appliance solution is a turnkey method for companies to leverage their internal data stores without implementing a complicated internal identity management system.

Gluu Inc. is a San Antonio, TX based startup company that hosts the Gluu interdomain identity management service. Organizations who are a member of Gluu can define their own Gluu Communities, through which they can selectively send and receive updated identity information.
