Creamy, dreamy and served up cheesy, the National Association of Catering Executives hosts the first annual Mac & Cheese Competition. On September 21, 2011, area chefs and local celebrity restaurateurs will combine skill, technique, flavor and fun to create the best Mac & Cheese dish. Each team will noodle for one of only five coveted awards called “The Golden Noodle”.

The National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) local Houston chapter educates catering executives, event professionals, off-premise catering executives and chefs of all skill levels each month at chapter meetings. This year, the annual chapter fundraiser is reborn with The Golden Noodle Mac & Cheese Competition benefiting future educational programs for NACE.

The brand new Bayou City Events Center, located at 9401 Knight Road, Houston, TX. 77045 will host this year’s fundraiser. Set yourself up for great taste as you stroll down pasta named aisles and sample Houston’s finest cooking teams create a noodle sensation never before seen! Teams are encouraged to create unique Mac & Cheese dishes from sweet to savory. Each team will serve up two hundred (3oz.) portions for judges and attendees to sample and score.
