Golf Ban For Civil Servants After It Is Blamed For Low Performances In The Office – MJ Worldwide Explains Further.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 28, 2011 --
Senior officials have been banned from playing golf – after the game was blamed for their sub-par performances in the office. The game even remains out of bounds for executives on weekends and holidays. The managing director of MJ Worldwide has commented, saying, “It’s extraordinary to think that a generally calm sport can actually interfere with performances in work. Mind blowing!”
In a notice stating the rules for managers in his department Dinh La Thang, Vietnam’s transport minister, blamed it for their dreary performance in work. He said some officials ‘have not actively given direction or administered their work, leading to the slow handling of affairs, which affects progress on projects and general operations. One of the causes of this condition comes from staff spending too much time playing golf, including on holidays,’ he added. MJ Worldwide’s Managing Director, who is himself, a golf lover has expressed his opinions on the matter, saying “I can understand where Dinh La Thang is coming from, if affects work performance then certainly encourage employees to refrain from playing but banning it –even on holidays I would consider extreme.”
The ministry's website posted a statement saying Mr Thang had ordered all senior ministry officials and executives of corporations under the ministry not to play the game. Their interest for the typically middle-class activity has led to them to ignoring their duties and responsibilities, according to the minister. The Managing Director of MJ Worldwide has said “Banning the game is absurd without proof that in fact golf does stunt work performances.”
