Government website shows a list of over 100 Occupations on Skills Shortage List
Labor wants us to believe that there are "too many" of us but a government department website shows otherwise. According to it there are over 100 occupations on Skills Shortage List
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 22, 2010 --
Labor Party has been running a scare campaign against Immigration in the name of Sustainable Population when reality is that there is No such thing as sustainable Population. Australia has a massive aging population and more and more people are retiring. As a result we need immigration. We need more younger people.
With more women working and more people delaying kids Australia has no other option but to get younger people from Countries like China, India, Korea, Vitenam and many more. These people are young, willing to learn English and contribute to Australia's economy.
As per Department of Education, Employment and Work Place Relations there are over 100 Occupations on Skills Shortage List. They have been identified as those with "state wide" shortage, "recruitment difficulty" and Regional and Metropolitan Shortages among others. This list has all kinds of professions from Nursing to even Chefs, Bakers etc.
This clearly shows that Labor party is lying when it says that "We don't need a bigger Australia" when the fact is that we desperately need more people or our economy will come to a standstill.
The list can be viewed by visiting http://www.deewr.gov.au/Employment/LMI/SkillShortages/Pages/StateTerritorySkillShort.aspx & Clicking on NSW Pdf file.
In case this list is removed you can contact Mark Sharma from www.dimpto.com and he can provide you a copy.
