Maestro Wireless Solutions is launching a new industrial gateway with built-in 25 mW radio. The solution allows users to easily access local radio networks over long distances.
The solution is ideal for wireless mesh network and is developed by Maestro Wireless in Hong Kong, with support from their strategic partners Coronis SAS.
In urban areas it is difficult to integrate MESH networks with long ranges. Maestro Heritage Gateway GPRS allows the build up of smaller SUB networks connected to monitoring stations via GPRS.
"Maestro Wireless has developed a new platform linking short-range communications with longer distances by making a smart way to combine both short-range radio, such as GPRS / EDGE in a single unit. In this way, we can offer a smart gateway for applications such as data acquisition from electric meters, water meters, AMR , machine monitoring, collection of readings from sensors or monitoring of vending machines, "says Ulf Seijmer, Creative Director and Marketing Manager at Induo.
Maestro Heritage, 25 mW GPRS Wavenis-based Gateway, available for delivery in the ISM bands 433, 868 and 915 MHz, which covers most of the world's markets. Development Kits are also available via Maestro Wireless Swedish distributor Induo.
