Seattle’s downtown hotels are offering four hotel and ticket packages in celebration of the "Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs" exhibit at Seattle’s Pacific Science Center.

The exhibit, coming from Denver, will run through January, 6, 2013 at Seattle’s Pacific Science Center and display more than 100 artifacts unearthed from King Tut’s tomb and other ancient Egyptian sites. Seattle is the final U.S. stop for this record-breaking tour, which has attracted more than eight million visitors to view the King’s possessions, including his golden canopic coffinette, spectacular crown and golden sandals placed on his mummified feet. Visitors will learn about the extraordinary discovery of the tomb, ongoing excavations and the latest scientific testing on his mummy. Once it wraps in Seattle, the exhibit will return to Cairo in 2013 and all proceeds from the tour will go towards a new museum in Egypt to house the nation's vast archaeological collections.
