Green Garage to Host Food Drive at Boulder and Denver Auto Care and Repair Centers

Boulder, Colorado, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) December 14, 2011 -- Boulder, Colo. – (Dec. 14, 2011)- To help area families in need this holiday season, Green Garage, a Colorado-based comprehensive auto care and repair center, will be hosting their first annual “Can Do Good” food drive at both their Denver and Boulder locations from now until Dec. 31, with a free nitrogen tire fill for each can donated.

The “Can Do Good” food drive was developed by Green Garage employees Ernie Levigne and Bonnie Benskin who have a strong desire to help local families. Participants in the food drive are asked to bring non-perishable food items to help fill donation bins. All items collected will be given to Bienvenidos Food Bank of Denver, which is dedicated to battling hunger by proving food to residents of Northwest Denver in ways that promote respect and dignity.

During the “Can Do Good” holiday food drive, anyone that brings in one can of food will get one tire filled with nitrogen for free. With a donation of four or more cans, donors can receive nitrogen air fill in all four of their car’s tires -- a $40 value.

Filling your car tires with nitrogen instead of air saves both money and impact on the environment. A tire filled with nitrogen retains optimal pressure longer, leading to more uniform tire wear and better gas mileage.
