Green Jobs Program Lags Pace to Create New Jobs, EmploymentCrossing Finds 6,000+ New Jobs

Pasadena, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) September 16, 2011 -- Pasadena, CA, September 16, 2011 - Obama government's loan guarantee program worth $38.6 billion was designed to jump-start the nation's new technology industry by giving energy companies way in to low-cost, government-backed loans. It was expected to create or save 65,000 jobs but has been able to create only a few thousand jobs two years since its start.

According to Energy Department, the loan guarantee program has created about 3,000 new, permanent jobs after giving out almost half the allotted amount. But it came under inspection after hearing about the collapse of Solyndra, a solar-panel maker. The bankruptcy of the Solyndra in California is still a mystery about being a government blunder or a genuine scandal. The company laid off nearly 1,200 employees after filing bankruptcy on Sept. 6.

Even though President's efforts to create green jobs seem to have failed in keeping up a pace and the loan guarantee program seems to be a bit clumsy, the green-jobs program is still on track to meet its employment goals. It claims to have saved 33,000 jobs at Ford Motor Co. but the economists doubt the loan program actually saved those many jobs.

Just believing that green jobs are the solution to save the planet does not make it so. In fact you can't even say that green jobs are the key to saving the economy keeping in mind the current scenario.
