GreenWorld BVI and Jim Rogers Target Australia for Farmland Investments

December 8, 2011

One of the greatest commodities investors in history, Jim Rogers, is buying up huge amounts of Australian farmland. GreenWorld now offers a unique Australian farmland investment for retail investors

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 8, 2011 -- As the financial crisis continues, a major investing trend has been that larger institutions are increasingly allocating money to the asset class of agricultural farmland investments. Josh Cohn, partner at GreenWorld, believes this is due to the compelling case for investing in farmland.

Cohn noted that GreenWorld closely follows Jim Rogers, one of the most successful investors of the last 25 years. Rogers is a famously successful commodities investor, and was one of the first to call the bull market in commodities and believes that we are in the middle of an “agricultural supercycle” and that farmland is an ideal way to play this trend.

Given Rogers knowledge in this sphere, GreenWorld was quite interested to see that Rogers has been buying up farmland in Australia in a substantial way to invest. This is in addition to major Chinese investments in Australian farmland as well.

"When we saw both Jim Rogers and China coming to the same decision about Australian farmland, we knew this was a trend we wanted to be in on," stated Cohn. "Our strategy is to look at global macro-trends, and see what the ‘smart money’ is doing in particular sectors, and then try to find investments accessible to our retail investor base that allows them to invest alongside this.”

GreenWorld’s Australia farmland investment is located in western Australia and focuses on wheat production. The project targets 9% annual yields, with substantial upside for an increase in capital value due to the extremely inexpensive price for Australian farmland compared with farmland in other western countries.

Cohn added that the Australian farmland opportunity was a purely passive investment, where investors had no ongoing management responsibilities whatsoever. GreenWorld BVI focuses on searching out "best-in-class" hard asset alternative investments for the individual investors who are its primary client base. For UK investors, all of GreenWorld’s products are also eligible as SIPP investments.

Below is a list of GreenWorld’s investment categories:

• Bamboo investments
• Timber Investments
• Farmland Investments
• International Property Investments in Boutique Emerging Markets Hotels
• Renewable Energy Investments
