FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 14, 2011 --
Since opening its doors in 1992, Mall of America® has revolutionized the shopping experience and become a leader in retail, entertainment and attractions. Mall of America is one of the top tourist destinations in the country as well as one of the most recognizable brands.
Mall of America has earned a national reputation for entertaining guests. From musical acts to celebrity book signings to fashion shows, Mall of America is the Hollywood of the Midwest. Along with coverage in many national and local broadcast and print media outlets, Mall of America has been featured on the Discovery Channel, Travel Channel and TLC. By hosting more than 400 events each year, the Mall has become the place where fans can meet and greet their favorite celebrities or take part in interactive, one-of-a-kind events.
In one of their most recent events they wanted to showcase not only technology, but fitness as well. Being one of the largest malls in North America the Mall of America features a host of stores that supports both, but not together. When they consulted on a product that would entertain, as well as provide their participants exercise they decided that the iDANCE Multiplayer System would be the perfect fit!
iDANCE multiplayer concept is a revolutionary Exergaming system that was designed specifically for environments such as Schools, YMCA's, JCCs, Park Districts and Health Clubs. It is unique in many facets including the fact that it provides the user with a combination of physical, social and cognitive benefits and that it accommodates up to 32-players at once on up to 3 separate difficulty levels with real-time performance feedback.
The iDANCE system can deliver workouts similar to the cardiovascular workouts achieved by running or jogging and in some cases even stronger results because the fun element and the challenges that reside within the game stimulate the players to expend a greater effort than they would in running or jogging.
Parker Johnson of Exergame Fitness said, “iDANCE is always one of the most popular items when we do events. It attracts people of all ages to come and try something that they have never done before. While some have probably tried the traditional DDR, not many if any have played a wireless, projection based multiplayer game. If you show me something where someone ages 5, 10, 40, and 80 can all play the same game, then I will show you something fun and engaging!”
